The importance of a SMILE

One smile can make all the difference in the world. One smile has the power to release stress, calm you down, make you attractive, make someone else happy and believe it or not, smiling can actually cause happiness. This is why “Smile at Life” has become my personal motto.

1) Release stress & Calm down

Stress is hazardos to your health! When you let your stress levels continually in cress without doing anything to prevent it, you will eventually breakdown. And when you do eventually breakdown, it will take you a long time to put yourself back together again. However, a smile is the cheapest and fastest cure. When you feel stressed, just take a minute or two to breathe in and out and smile. There is always something to smile about in life. Always!

2) Attractive

“A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear” – Unknown. This is absolutely true. Whether you are female or male, a smile is all you need to complete your beauty! I have always said: “There is nothing more attractive than a man with a smile!” (in my case). Besides, smiling also shows people that you are a positive person and easy to get along with.

3) Be someones sunshine

Fact: smiling is contagious. We all have our own battles to fight. Each one of us! And sometimes all a person needs a smile to reassure them that everything will be OKAY (because it will be). Maybe one smile can reassure that girl who sits beside in class, that someone sees her. That someone actually cares. Maybe one smile to a stranger you walk by in town today, is all it will take to turn that rainy cloud hanging over him into a bright shining sun.

4) Great social network

As mentioned above, a smile is the most welcoming gesture. Who knows what one smile can lead to? I have personally meet a lot of amazing people using this method. Just one smile. That is all it takes.

5) Happiness

According to the research papers I have read about smiling, scientist actually have proff that smiling can cause happiness. It is only natural that we smile when we are happy and frown when we are sad/mad. What if we tried to smile a lot more often? What would happen then?

A smile might seem like a simple act that we often take for granted. But a smile is a lot more than just a line that appears across our faces when we are happy. Keep these reasons in mind, and always remember to smile!

  2. Nice topic. After a lifetime of sadness and wearing a frown, I’ve gone through body and emotional changes. The only thing missing was a smile. I’m not going to lie, I needed some dental teeth whitening. Then I first forced my smile. After a while, I think this smile actually got to my soul. A real smile has been part of who I am and it is astounding. I’m surrounded by others who smile and are at ease with themselves. I feel like I’m in a whole new world with new and more kind people. Yes, when I’m with myself I smile constantly.
